Physiotherapy
‘‘Reputation of providing high quality clinical care with a focus on supporting the development of students’’
‘‘As an environment which supports education, our Clinic is offering a first-class physiotherapy service to local people, with patients benefiting from the expertise of practitioners at the cutting-edge of teaching and research at the University of Winchester.’’
We are delighted to be able to offer two Physiotherapy services to the local community, powered by the University of Winchester.
Physiotherapy Teaching Clinic
Our wonderful University of Winchester BSc Physiotherapy students work in the clinic year around under the supervision of our experienced clinic manager. Depending where students are in their learning journey will depend how involved they are, but ultimately they will be central to the clinic. As a result we are able to offer some high quality yet affordable appointments.
Physiotherapy Clinic
We are delighted to welcome Anna Turgoose to the clinic, who brings a wealth of experience and expertise in sports injuries and women’s health. Anna is leading our premium physiotherapy service and more details of here experience can be found here.

What we can offer
-
Fix it. Don't treat it
We don’t look to simply treat your symptoms, we look to get to the bottom of why this issue occurred. This then allows us to rehabilitate you fully in as few sessions as possible and ensure that it doesn't happen again. Some might say this is a silly business model but we believe in integrity and doing a great job!
-
Exercise Therapy
This is where our expertise lies and where there is considerable evidence supporting its effectiveness. We don’t just give a long list of exercises. We tailor the exercises to the deficits we find on your assessment and then utilise principles of exercise physiology and strength and conditioning to progress this.
-
Patient-centred care
The most important person in the room is you, the patient. We believe in the importance of really listening to your story. There are no recipes, no protocols here. We are proud to spend time during our first consultation getting to know your lifestyle, hobbies and set goals for us to work towards.
-
Manual therapy
This includes the use of hands on treatments which, in the right presentations, can be an effective way to reduce pain and improve movement quality. We constantly look towards the latest evidence in our understanding of the mechanisms of how this works and the effect it has on the body to ensure we offer you the most effective treatment.

‘‘Let us help you, get back to the activities that give you meaning’’
